S.C. CONSTITUTION PARTY ELECTION INFORMATION
As discussed, under the Candidate section of this web site we select our candidates by the Convention method. If more than one candidate runs for the same office members cast a ballot and the candidate that receives more than 50% of the vote is elected to be our candidate in the election. The County Convention elects city and county candidates and the State Convention elects Federal, state-wide and multi-county candidates.
According to the South Carolina 2005 Legislative Manual “The State Convention shall meet at a location in this State determined by the State Committee to have adequate facilities during the 13-month period ending May 15 of every General Election year on a day and at a time fixed by the State Committee and announced publicly at least 10 days before the meeting.”
