Join the S.C C.P. Party

Membership in the S.C. Constitution Party is a requisite for party participation. Voting at party county and state conventions and absentee voting is limited to paid up party members. The following are the membership requirements.

 

a)      Be at least 18 years of age.

 

b)      Be a citizen of the USA and a resident of the South Carolina county and precinct in which the person will be a member.

 

c)      Be a registered elector (voter) in the designated South Carolina county and precinct.

 

d)      Subscribe to and agree to support the CP National and State party platforms. Persons applying for the first time for membership should read the Constitution Party’s latest National Platform as posted on the CP National Web site, www.constitutionparty.com. The applicant(s) should also read any additional items contained in the State Web site www.scconstitutionparty.com. The applicant(s) should then fill out, sign, and date the Membership Application form and forward it, along with the dues to the Party Treasurer. If the applicant(s) disagree with portions of the National or State Platforms this should be stated on the back of the Membership Application form spelling out the nature of the disagreement.

 

e)      To participate in voting at county or state conventions a minimum of 15 days must elapse from the time the applicant’s membership application is received and the convention date. A new member may not vote in a county or state meeting until approved by the State Chairman. Being a properly elected delegate is required for voting at county and state conventions.

 

f)       The State Executive Committee has the authority to remove anyone from Party membership who fails to abide by the written Rules and Regulations of the Party, is disruptive at meetings or misrepresents the Party’s Platform. The Executive Director will advise, in writing, any person removed by the State Executive Committee.
